ANNI ALBERS 1982

All for Art is a non-profit organization which aims to make art accessible to everybody and spread the positive effects of art to our community and beyond. We aspire to provide everyone the opportunity to enjoy and create art by supplying them with art supplies and instruction. By organizing drives for high quality, functional art supplies; teaching in-person instruction at various community centers and shelters; and creating in-depth online art tutorials, art lessons, and educational blog posts, All for Art works to provide everyone with the chance to enjoy art. We believe that giving children the opportunity to become artists and create their own masterpieces is just as essential as teaching them how to read or perform addition. We also believe that allowing adults in stressful situations to find an outlet through art is powerful and can have majorly positive effects on their lives. We envision a world in which everyone has the opportunity to fully experience the true wonders of art, and through the work we do at All for Art, we hope to move one step closer to that goal.

Our Mission:

  • 1
Provide art supplies and tutorials to those who would not have access to them otherwise.
  • 2
Provide underserved members of the Chicagoland community with in-person art classes.
  • 3
Promote a love for art in children and assist them along their artistic journey.
  • 4
Give those in stressful situations the opportunity to create art, which can help with emotional management and self expression.

About me

Hi! I’m Hafsah Khan, a 10th grader living in the Chicagoland area and the founder of All for Art. I started All for Art with the goal of inspiring the same love for art in those I teach that I value so highly. Art is an area I’m very passionate about and creating it is something I love doing and do often. I’ve been making art since elementary school and specialize in graphite and oil paints. Some of the most important lessons I’ve learned from making art are that accepting criticism without making excuses is of utmost importance to improvement, the fear of trying new things kills creativity, and perseverance is everything. It’s not hard to see how these lessons can apply to art, and even to life in general, but sometimes, very interesting areas of overlap are created.
